COSCUP is an open-source conference community in Taiwan. We will introduce Taiwan's open source community culture and community ecology here. This is a great opportunity to get to know the Taiwanese community and explore potential opportunities or collaborations.

COSCUP (Conference for Open Source Coders, Users, and Promoters) is an annual conference in Taiwan, jointly organized by open-source communities. Established in 2006, it has been a key driving force of Taiwan’s Free and Open Source Software Movement (FOSSM). The mission of COSCUP is to provide a platform that connects developers, users, and advocates of open-source software, fostering the growth and adoption of Free/Libre and Open-Source Software (FLOSS) through its annual conferences.

OpenStreetMap 한국커뮤니티는 누구나 자유롭게 사용할 수 있는 오픈소스 세계 지도를 만드는 프로젝트, OpenStreetMap의 한국 지역 커뮤니티입니다. 자원봉사자들로 이루어져 함께 논의하고 정보를 수집하며 지리 데이터를 구축하고 있습니다.

또한 국내외 다양한 분야에서 OpenStreetMap을 활용할 수 있도록 웹 & 모바일 지도 앱, 지리공간 데이터 조작 및 처리 도구, 경로 탐색 엔진 등의 다양한 OpenStreetMap 관련 오픈소스 소프트웨어에 기여하고 있습니다.

OpenSource People Network Japan has organized the Open Source Conference—a nationwide gathering of open source enthusiasts—since 2004. The event takes place in Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, Hokkaido, Fukuoka, and other local cities across Japan. At the conference, we bring together a wide range of open source contributors and enthusiasts who are deeply rooted in their local communities. We will also introduce Japan’s open source culture at the FOSS for All 2025 event.

We will introduce the Open Source Conference in Japan and showcase a variety of IT Dōjinshi (同人誌) books—an important part of Japanese subculture connected to our community. Many of these books were donated for the FOSS for All 2025 event by authors I had the pleasure of meeting at Comic Market 106 (Summer) in Japan, along with contributions from GishoHaku (技書博), a Japanese IT Dōjinshi community.

비디오랜(VideoLAN)은 동영상 및 기타 미디어 포맷을 재생하기 위해 소프트웨어를 개발하는 비영리 단체입니다. VideoLAN은 VLC, FFmpeg, x264, dav1d 등의 오픈소스 소프트웨어를 개발합니다. 이 중 VLC는 56억 건 이상의 다운로드 수를 가진 동영상 플레이어입니다. FFmpeg은 멀티미디어를 제어할 때 사용하는 소프트웨어이며, 해당 분야의 표준이라 할 수 있을 정도로 수많은 회사가 사용합니다.

우분투 한국 커뮤니티는 Ubuntu Community Council 인증 공식 우분투 지역 커뮤니티 입니다. 온라인 커뮤니티 및 문서 서비스 제공, 각종 세미나와 컨퍼런스 개최, 우분투 및 관련 오픈소스 기술에 대한 그룹 스터디와 연구/개발 및 프로젝트 등 다양한 활동을 하고 있습니다.

디지털 기술로 사회 문제를 함께 해결하는 시민들의 시빅해킹 커뮤니티, 코드포코리아입니다.

2020년 2월. 17명의 사람들이 코로나19 공공데이터 개방을 요구하는 공동대응을 통해 활동을 시작했습니다. 이 활동은 200여명의 시빅해커와 함께 공적 마스크 앱을 만드는 결과로 이어져, 코로나19 사태에 도움이 되었습니다. 코드포코리아는 이 활동을 계기로 결성되어 이제는 대한민국의 시빅해커 또는 공익데이터 운동을 하는 시민들, 기술로 사회에 기여하려는 시민과 기관의 네트워크로 성장하고 있습니다.

2007년에 설립된 한국 스프링 사용자 모임(KSUG)은 스프링을 사용하거나 관심을 가진 개발자들이 모여 기술과 정보를 나누고 함께 성장하는 커뮤니티입니다. KSUG은 매년 기술 컨퍼런스 'Spring Camp', 가을 세미나, 정기 스터디를 비롯한 다채로운 오프라인 활동을 통해 개발자 생태계에 기여하고 있습니다.
